Journaling What is it? An opportunity to express yourself without judgment. This is something you can do to clarify your feelings and thoughts. It gives you an opportunity to check in with your inner advisor. I suggest you only share this with yourself. Later, you may want to share it with others, but for now, use it as your confidant. As you look at the questionnaires below that are of interest to you, you can use your answers to get you started on your journey of journaling. In Julia Cameron’s book, “The Artists Way”, she suggests that you write three pages every day to in effect get in touch with whatever might be going on for you. Even if it is just to say, “I don’t know what to write”, it does work as a catalyst for your inner being to express. If three pages seems daunting, then my suggestion is to just get started, even if it is less pages. A few paragraphs helps, and you may find it is exciting to be in touch with you. You are definitely worth the time and effort. If You Are Feeling Blue (Or even if you aren’t) Remember to take a deep breath from the belly up. Expand your tummy like a balloon as you inhale. Hold it a few seconds then exhale slowly and notice how stress seems to evaporate. Do this a few times and feel the difference from how you felt before. Seems simple and it is. But seems we human beings forget to do that. If you have a question about how to do this, just watch a baby breathing. Tummy goes up and down, no up-tightness there. “And a little child shall lead them”. Often we seem to focus on our problems. And, sometimes, for a while, that helps…if we come up with answers to the challenge. I’m suggesting that we take time often, to write down our un-problems. That is our blessings, and what is working in our lives. Another way to do this is to have a gratitude journal, where you write down five things you are grateful for in the morning or at night before going to sleep. Wondering what to write? Here are some possibilities: · The sunshine beaming down on you · The rain · Flowers · Birds singing · Your car starting · Friends · Special family members · Being able to walk/talk/smile I know you will come up with lots more. Take a walk and notice, just notice the sky, trees, good smells. Become aware of the good available to us. Resource Sheet - Prosperity AttitudesResource lists are intuitive tools to help us get feedback from the subconscious about what is important for us. Which of the statements below reinforce your negative and limiting beliefs? Scan the list below quickly, then write down as many of them as catch your attention. From the items you jotted down, check off the top five and explore them in your journaling. Prosperity Victims Say (or Think!):
